Who are we?

ASEFA is a Certification Body, managed in a fully balanced way by manufacturers, users and Independant third party technical organizations.

• ASEFA is a non for profit association (under French law of 1901) accredited by COFRAC according to NF EN 45011/ISO Guide 65.
  
• Members of the association, whose activity is in the field of certification are divided into three colleges of equal weights:
  • Manufacturers / Distributors
  • Users / Prescribers
  • Technical organizations
• The Bodies members are all represented in the General Assembly. A Steering Committee, assisted by a Certification Committee, directs the operations of the association.
• The tests necessary to certify the materials are performed in laboratories that are approved by ASEFA. These laboratories are related to ASEFA by a Charter that requests for them to be accredited by a Memeber of ILAC (e.g.: COFRAC) according to ISO 17025. Under certain conditions, ASEFA can take into account testing results produced in their own laboratories by the applicants, for certification purposes.
• Our test facilities consist of more thna 20 registerd laboratoriesthat are  approved at the highest level, all of them being accredited.
• Intercomparison tests helps ensuring consistency of testing and results.
   
• Through the mechanism of peer review, expected normally by European Agreements, methods and testing ability of participants have been constantly improved and Integrity is fully insured.

• ASEFA is also a Certification Body member of  LOVAG ( Low Voltage Agreement Group) and is allowed to issue not only LOVAG Type Test Certificate but is entitled to grant, as well, the right to use the LOVAG Mark.
